Philosophy and Goals


Consultant's Philosophy

  1. I hold the belief that every child on the spectrum has the potential to develop comprehensive two-way communication, shared play, and self-help skills when engaged at their comfort level with a sensory-sensitive and an understandable approach.
  2. I maintain that learning should be enjoyable and motivating to foster child's active engagement.
  3. I aim to address all developmental areas in the personalized program, allowing children to achieve balanced progress as they develop.
  4. I advocate for the training and understanding of the family members alongside the workers, recognizing the vital role primary caregivers have in the child's progress and skill generalization.
  5. I acknowledge that success is the result of a significant team effort. For effective teamwork, open communication, trust, and data sharing are crucial.
  6. I am committed to increasing public awareness of issues related to ASD within community, promoting societal accommodation of their modes of communication, interaction, socialization, and learning to foster inclusivity.

 

Basic Goals

  1. To understand and enhance child's coping and learning abilities for emotional regulation.
  2. To accurately interpret reactive behaviors and devise strategies to address those.
  3. To boost child's focus to the elements of their immediate surroundings.
  4. To develop child’s receptive understanding and communication methods.
  5. To cultivate child's interest in academic skills and the attainment of IEP objectives.
  6. To reinforce child’s motor abilities and engagement in age-appropriate activities and games.
  7. To improve child’s interactions with siblings and peers.
